Managing citations and references

My 11 year old daughter was doing a project recently for which she had to do a bibliography. I was interested to see that she used https://easybib.com to compile it: this was on the recommendation of one of her classmates. It took some of the pain out of it, and seemed to make it more interesting: something was actually being made by the program from the data she supplied.
I notice that easybib is one of the tools listed in response to a query on Lifehacker about generating bibliographies. Given the number of tools listed here – including endnote and refworks – this is an area of some demand.

The technology career ladder

Library leaders should be drawn from across the organization. Any idea that technology leaders are overly specialised or too distant from general library work is outmoded and counter-productive.
